Radwani House presents domestic life in Doha through rooms arranged around a central courtyard, a pattern common in Qatari homes from the early nineteenth century onward. Archaeological investigation and restoration revealed successive alterations made as the household adopted new materials, utilities and social habits. Furnished spaces help visitors understand privacy, hospitality, family roles and the gradual arrival of modern conveniences at an intimate scale. A tourist can use the displays to connect individual objects with the larger changes that reshaped Qatar: pearling and maritime trade, family and domestic life, the arrival of oil, state formation and rapid urban growth.
