Évora Museums, University and Gardens
Overview
A gentle two-day visit linking Évora’s museum and university quarter with the aqueduct and public gardens. The first day is a compact central walk; the second follows the aqueduct toward the city edge and returns through the garden area. Expect about 3–5 km of walking each day.
Day-by-day itinerary
1Day 1 — Museum, University and Historic Centre
- Begin at Évora Museum for the city’s history and collections.
- Continue to the University of Évora and its historic courtyards.
- Explore the lanes and landmarks of the historic centre on foot.
2Day 2 — Aqueduct, Garden and Dona Isabel Gate
- Follow the Aqueduct of Silver Water toward its historic arches and aqueduct street.
- Walk back toward the Public Garden of Évora for a relaxed break.
- Finish near Dona Isabel Gate on the old town’s southern side.
