St. Bartholomew's Church
St. Bartholomew's Church
About this place
Located northwest of the outer city, in the area of the city's extension during the time of the Spanish protectorate, the Church of St. Bartholomew is a delicate neo-Moorish style temple built by the Franciscans from Spain in the early twentieth century. Painted immaculate white, it is located a few meters from the sea. The sound of the bells that call for mass every Sunday is a constant reminder of the importance of the religious coexistence of the citizens.
