This circular square with its fountain is also called "Place du 9 Avril", located in the center between the British Church of St. Andrew, the Sidi Bouabid Mosque and the Rif Cinema, it is the place that connects the old part of the city to the new one. Its current name, Place du 9 Avril, is a tribute to the unforgettable independence speech held there in 1947 by King Mohammed V.
