About this place
El Feddan Square is adjacent to the Medina. It was originally built during the Spanish colonial period in the north of Morocco. Destroyed in the mid-1980s in order to widen the Mechouar Square, it was renovated during the era of King Mohammed VI. Inaugurated on July 30, 2016 as part of the socio-economic development of the city of Tetouan, the new Place El Feddan retains features of Andalusian architecture.
