Education City Mosque forms part of the Minaretein building and links worship with Hamad Bin Khalifa University's College of Islamic Studies. Taha al-Hiti's calligraphy rises along two tall minarets, while five structural pillars refer to the five pillars of Islam and four streams in the garden evoke the rivers of Paradise. The contemporary design expresses the idea that knowledge and faith are connected rather than separate spheres. Visitors should read the building as both architecture and an active place of worship.
