Sidi Ali Ben Hamdoush Square is a place that deserves a visit in the Medina of Assilah. There is a small mosque which, in the Portuguese period, was used as a Catholic temple. The square is dominated by the Portuguese Tower/Borj Al Kamra, the symbol of the city.
