Barcelona Cathedral

Built mainly between the 13th and 15th centuries, the cathedral preserves the religious heart of medieval Barcelona. Its dramatic main façade was added much later in a neo-Gothic style. Compare the exterior with the older interior and cloister to discover these different building periods. The cathedral is dedicated to the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, whose relics are associated with its crypt. The cloister was completed in 1448, while the main exterior front belongs to the late 19th century.
