Jbel Lahdid

About this place

Rising to 722 meters, Jbel Lhdid, also known as the Iron Mountain, takes its name from the large ferruginous masses that compose it. Traces of ancient exploitations, attributed to the Portuguese and potentially to the Phoenician colony of Mogador, mark this mountain range. Populated with argan trees, thujas, oleasters, mastic trees and brooms, Jbel Lhdid offers visitors a breathtaking panoramic view from its peaks. Every year, during the 44 rounds of the Moussem des Regraga, this place is visited to honor the sanctuary of Sidi Ouasmine, considered the Sultan of Regraga, an event that takes place every April. | Travel to Morocco, Visit Morocco, Voyage au Maroc , Vacances, Morocco Tourism.
