Pasteur Boulevard
About this place
Boulevard Pasteur is the first major extramural avenue of the "new city" and also the main artery of the city throughout the 20th century. A unique blend of architectural styles, it is a faithful reflection of the social composition of Tangier during the years of the International Statute. Along the Boulevard Pasteur, lies the legendary Column Bookshop and some unique buildings, such as the Giocoechea Building, the buildings designed by the architect Diego Jiménez Armstrong and the Chaar Raphael Synagogue.
