About this place
This kasbah is made up of two rectangular base squares, that of Mechoir, which takes its name from the building of the old prison and the Kasbah Museum, and that of Tabor, to the northeast, originally known as the Spanish Tabor Square because it used to be, at the beginning of the 20th century, headquarters of the Spanish troops who built the lighthouse (now obsolete) located at one corner, inside the space belonging to the Borj Na'am fortress, the largest of the borj in Tangier.
