Richard Serra's East-West/West-East consists of four tall steel plates aligned across more than a kilometre of the Brouq desert. Installed in 2014, the work is contemporary, but weathering steel and the vast geological setting make time, scale and movement central to the experience. Visit Qatar presents it as a major destination near Zekreet, and the route can be combined with rock formations, fort ruins and archaeological traces.
